Where did this idea came from?
My dear friend Tania Kidd, publisher of Mini
Magazine and the Worldwide
Miniature Schnauzers Yearbook,
and I were discussing athe fact that a ranking like this
doesn't exist in The Netherlands. Then I thought of starting
one and created this complete system. Without the support of Tania I would never have done
it and therefore all credits for this initiative
go to the U.S.A., to Tania Kidd!!!
Why a ranking
for all participants at Dutch dogschools and/or Dutch
Dog-events?
This, because this breed is "made" to work with
you. There are all kinds of things you can do with a Schnauzer
( agility, flyball, frisbee, obedience et cetera et cetera
) and with this ranking I hope to show what Schnauzer-people
do with their dogs.
Also a Topper-competition because the bests/most active
ones deserve to be called that way.
Is
this official?
No, it is not. It is just something extra you get whenever
you participate or want to participate in Dutch shows.
And the top of the Diversity Toppers results of the Miniature
Schnauzers will be in the next Miniature Schnauzer World
Yearbook for 2008.
Do I have to be a member of a club etc.?
No, only the results count, not any club membership.
How
does my dog receive points?
Participating in classes at a Dutch dogschool give you
the right to points and also entering Dutch Dog-events
are good for a score.
what about equal points?
Starting 2009: When dogs in the Top 10 of Best Topper
of a breed have equal points ( Ex Aequo ):
- First will be checked who has reached that gained amount
in the fewest events; that one is better.
- After that wo has reached that gained amount with the
most points first; that one is better.
Remains the score equal then so be it and the dogs will
remain on the same place.
What is the purpose of these rankings?
With this ranking I hope to show
what Schnauzer-people do with their dogs, other than competing
in shows.
Also a Topper-competition because the bests/most active
ones deserve to be called that way.
